Out of URIAH HEEP with whom his been more than two decades Bernie Shaw wasn’t particularly prolific. Now he comes with an album, product of collaboration with Dale Collins. Collins is a Canadian guitar player, who has already collaborated with Shaw in the past and they reunited, six years ago to start work on this new project. …I didn’t know what to expect and at the end of the listening I was more happy, as it keep the balance with modern day HEEP (aka the same titled song), yet gives Shaw some space to be himself as the excellent “Hey Jimi”, dedicated to who else but Hendrix. Melodic hard rock, with modern edge from time to time, it brings to mind modern era MAGNUM, THUNDER and SKIN at some point but has its own musical identity.
