Blues from women are most of the times a bit more soft, funky, smooth. This is not the case with DF and her Peter Green, Albert King,Gary Moore soaked in whiskey and tobacco blues. Hard edge, sharp and dirty Chicago blues with the mellow edge of Gary Moore's guitar tone is what we get here in abundance.
Great compositions, true blues feeling, a bit of Hard rock in some cases but mostly a modern blues rock album that honors its roots without being too much of an oldie classic or modern blues in the way Bonamassa changes the blues sound. One for the traditionals who like their music spicy and updated but still smelling the honky tonk where everything starts adding the raspiness of Fuchs voice. A great album to drink with.
